Rule 41 of RPF Rules’1987
Powers and Duties of Inspector, Armed Wing
He holds
responsibility: -
1. He will be responsible to ensure that
the training of his company in drill, use of weapons, musketry, field craft,
physical training etc.
2. For discipline, conduct, discharge of duties by the Members of
the Force under his command.
3. For receiving on charge from the
Quarter Master stocks of arms, ammunitions and musketry stores as and when
necessary.
4. He will take a keen personal interest
in his Company’s mess and see that the cook houses, dining rooms, store
rooms and the premises of RPF lines are kept scrupulously clean. He will
exercise supervision over the management of mess. He will personally check
the accounts of the mess.
5. He will ensure that games are
organized in his company and that every member in the Company takes part in
the same.
6. He will make every endeavor to
promote the well-being, comfort , health, physical fitness and happiness of
his under officers and staff.
Rule 17 (5) of RPF
Rules’1987
Powers and
Duties of Inspector, Special Intelligence Wing
He holds
responsibility: -
1. Concerned with subversive and undesirable activities of
anti-social elements on the Railways.
2. To collect timely information of
political/ subversive nature, activities of Railway Unions, their meetings,
processions and demonstration and also about other open and underground
activities and transmit the same through the Security Commissioner to the
railway administration and in turn to Railway Board.

Powers and
Duties of Inspector, Crime Intelligence Wing
He holds
responsibility: -
1. To collection and collation of information pertaining to
criminals, crime on railway property.
2. Detection of Crime.
3. Enquiries into difficult cases having wider ramifications.
4. Arrest of criminals and their prosecution.
Rule 17 (6) of RPF

Powers and
Duties of Inspector, Store Wing
He holds
responsibility: -
1. To look after and cater to the
requirements of the Force for uniform, accoutrements, arms, ammunitions,
equipments and other store items.
2. To arrange for condemnation of unserviceable articles and their
disposal.

1. To assist the Inspector-in-Charge
in better protection of Rly. Property.
2. To implement all lawful orders.
3. To supervise the duties and
activities of under officer and staff.
4. To enquire RP (UP) Act and
Railway Act Cases.

Duties of Assistant Sub-Inspectors
He holds
responsibility: -
1. To assist the Inspector-in-Charge in better protection of Rly.
Property.
2. To implement all lawful orders.
3. To supervise the duties and activities of staff.
4. To enquire RP (UP) Act and Railway Act Cases.
5. To perform duty promptly as Shift-in-Charge.
6. To supervise the duties/deployment of staff. |
