Superintendent Gr.II
He holds responsibility
To look after General Section(Miscellaneous), General
Sec.-II, Store Section, Ruling section, law bill and Arbitration
cases.
To assist his controlling Office Superintendent Gr.I in
discharging his responsibilities
Section 4(1)(b)(ii)
Head Clerk
He
holds responsibility
To look after the works of Works and Agreement Cell and
will deal all the agreement and other related works for the section
and also Annual Maintenance Work.
To assist for Kangoi Bhawan allotment.
To maintain office imprest.
To maintain all the work related to stores Section
under the supervision of OS-II.
To maintain in respect of Higher Secondary schools’
matter and permission of property cases.
To maintain MCDO, Standard Note, Award
To maintain works related to GM’s secretariat i.e.
booking of Tilak Bridge/Delhi Rest House and Howrah Yatri Niwas and
cash imprest of Secretary to GM/CLW.
To look after the works of receive and despatch section
of Central dispatch section
To assist his controlling Office Superintendent Gr.II
in discharging his responsibilities.
Senior Clerk
He
holds responsibility
To maintain Narrative Report, Ruling work , primary
school cases.
To deal distribution of all files/letters to Personnel
Branch officers and outside dak.
To assist Head Clerk in discharging his
responsibilities.
Junior Clerk
He
holds responsibility
To maintain postal dispatch and accountable of service
stamps.
To deal law bills, arbitration cases
To deal all the miscellaneous work of “G” Section i.e.
purchase of book, distribution of time tables, statement/report to
Railway Board, posting/release of GM(G) staff, Pay orders etc.
To assist Senior Clerk in discharging his
responsibilities.
Section 4(1)(b)(ii)
Peon
He holds responsibility
To
despatch the files and records and to sort the files and records from
the record section in order to facilitate in discharging the official
duties of General Branch
Section 4(1)(b)(iii)
The
procedure followed in the decision making process, including channels
of supervision and accountability
The following channels are operated:-
1.
The corresponding file entailing specific
establishment matter is put up by the dealer to the concerned Officer
Superintendent Gr.II/Head Clerk.
2.
The concerned rule provisions are
highlighted for better appreciation of the general matter.
3.
The up-to-date position as per rules and
regulations are tallied before forwarding the same to the controlling
officer.
4.
The controlling officer highlights a
brief for the next course of action or decision as deemed fit.
5.
As per Schedule of Power, the decision on
the establishment matter is obtained from the respective Dy.HOD/HOD/PHOD.

The following are the norms adopted for discharging its

The duties and responsibilities of the officers and
employees of General Branch are earmarked.
The guidelines in the office procedure are followed.
The rule provisions on General matters are to be kept
in hand
The latest Railway Board guidelines are to be preserved
in respective dealing files.

regulations, instructions, manuals and records held by General
Administration or under its control or used by its employees for
discharging its functions
